Consulting Services

Is this you?

  • Your organization is growing quickly and the old structures are getting in the way.

  • You are a new leader in an existing organization, and you need high-level support to implement your vision.

  • You are a year or more into an ambitious project, and you want to get on track and stay on track.

  • You care about your team, and you want them to be able to apply their expertise effectively without burning out.

Then I likely have the solutions you need.

My Approach

I. Understand the Root Cause(s)

I start by listening. I get to know your current strategy, team culture, communication channels, organizational structure, implementation processes, and team buy-in, capacity and motivation.

II. Make Your Strategy More Concrete

We then focus on the organization’s strategic foundation. We understand internal strengths and weaknesses and external threats and opportunities. I work with leadership to ensure understanding across the full team of the organization’s direction. We think about strategy in the context of implementation and get specific.

III. Align Your Operating Model

Next is where the strategy comes to life for teams and individuals. We prune, prioritize, and plan. We align your operating model—including structures, processes, personnel, and culture—with your strategy. My goal is for each team member to know their role in the organization’s success and the plan to get there.

IV. Plan for Sustainability and Continuous Improvement

We finish by designing processes and systems that your team will actually use to monitor progress. We launch and test the new systems with your team, make adjustments, and establish routines. Most importantly, I support the team in using the new systems to ensure buy-in, sustainability, and success. We want the full team to know if the organization is on track to reach its goals.

Rebecca helped us reflect on our approach for continuous improvement and helped us ensure we’re leveraging our funds for the highest and best uses. She connected easily with our team and gained their trust quickly. She supported a few of my team members interested in project management careers in thinking about what’s next, and everyone gave positive feedback. By building the team’s capacity, she significantly supported the realization of our goals.”

My Services

  • Does your team have deep expertise and lack a coherent strategy?

Do you know where you’re headed but aren’t sure how to get there?

Is your strategic plan sitting unused on a shelf (or on your computer)?

I create and align implementation plans with strategy by leading a planning and prioritization process to ensure your strategy has an impact. I have led this process with non-profit, government, and for-profit organizations, facilitating hard conversations about strategy trade-offs, realistic timelines, and capacity. I believe strategic plans aren’t enough to ensure impact and that action plans should be ambitious and also attainable, aligning the team around a clear set of priorities.

  • Do you wonder if your strategic plan is making an impact?

Do you want to move faster than your current systems are designed to handle?

Are you looking for a subject matter expert to round out your project team?

I design and launch project management systems by aligning systems, structures, and people around an organization’s goals to achieve measurable impact. I led this work in two state education agencies and alongside numerous non-profits and school districts nationally. I believe that sustainable systems must be people-first and that implementation efforts are more about behavior and culture than codified processes and technology.

  • Are you struggling to make time to support your team members?

Do you want to provide your team access to individual growth opportunities?

Are you looking for a thought partner with cross-sector experience?

I am a strategic thought partner and advisor to help you and your team reach your goals. I have led and managed individuals and teams to achieve desired outcomes as a project manager, director, chief of staff, and firm partner. I have delivered and experienced executive coaching in a variety of settings and know the importance of trust, connection, expertise, and goal-setting.

You do not have to sacrifice sustainability, or your sanity, to make an impact.

So many organizations have just accepted that, in order to get ahead and be successful, you and your staff need to be working constantly. I’m sure you’ve seen firsthand how overwork and burnout have become endemic in education and the social sector. But it doesn’t have to be that way! I can help you create new, more efficient systems and more sustainable expectations for staff. We’ll put the right people in the right seats so that your organization can achieve its vision without all the stress, overwork, or burnout.

I focus on supporting leaders and their teams across education and the social sector in what happens after they have a strategic plan

— filling in strategy gaps, prioritizing big bets, planning and leading projects, and monitoring progress. I help leaders advance key priorities and ensure organizational impact. Most importantly, I do this by supporting the people at the heart of the work.

I want team members to know their role in the organization’s success and the plan to get there, and I want everyone to know if the organization is on track to reach its goals.

Let’s talk.
