Hi, I’m Rebecca.
As I’ve advanced through multiple professional roles and built a career in public service, I’ve learned that “work” for me is all about service and learning – a daily effort to know better, be better, and do my small part to end intergenerational poverty. This is what gets me up in the morning and where I’ve dedicated my personal and professional energy for as long as I can remember.
Professionally, my purpose has driven me to focus on K-12 education through national non-profits, state and local governments. Personally, my volunteer work and my own kids have taken me inside classrooms, central offices, and community-based organizations across the education and social sector.
I engage deeply in what I do and, for more than a decade, have attempted to excel in all domains of life. My professional work includes helping leaders identify and focus on their top priorities, and yet I wasn’t applying this to my own life. A career break in 2023 allowed me to recenter on my priorities, rediscover my purpose, and redefine my ambition – personally and professionally.
It’s with this fresh perspective and clarity that I launched Rebecca Shah Consulting.
Do you need to implement a big change in your organization?
Are you growing fast and outgrowing your existing structures?
Are you in the process of implementing a large scale organizational change, and you think you might be stalling?
I’m a proud mom and partner, avid reader, and occasional hip hop dancer with a deep and unwavering sense of purpose that fuels everything I do.
Rebecca provided me with emotional encouragement and the tools to grow in my career and transition to a new professional role that is more focused on organizational development. She helped me think through problems from different perspectives and frameworks. For example, she introduced me to 30-60-90 day planning for my new role that helped me organize my thinking and focus on what I wanted to accomplish. She also helped me understand that building relationships is part of the work. I enjoyed exploring different ways of looking at a problem together.”

Oftentimes leaders need someone outside their organization they can trust, where they can be fully transparent. You need to be able to talk openly and honestly about what is working and what is not working in your organization so we can think it through together without worrying about hurting anyone’s feelings or stepping on their toes. I listen to the things inside and outside your organization that are complicating your life. Then, we work together to find solutions.
You need to have the right people in the right seats. I look at your team and I help you see what is missing. Who do we need to hire, who do we need to step up, who needs to change their focus.
I've been doing this type of work both inside organizations and alongside organizations across the non-profit, for-profit, and government sectors for years. I have the experience you need to make your vision a concrete reality.
